How can I find a job offer on my own?

The Self Placement option gives you the possibility to obtain your own job offer, with the help of your friends that have previously attended the program, of the people you know or of the Internet. In order to be approved by the US sponsor, the job offer must meet the following criteria:

-To be in the hospitality field: hotels, restaurants, amusement parks, national parks, supermarkets and other shops, etc...
-To be a seasonal job
-To be in a touristic area or in an area that experiences a high rise in tourist number during the summer

In addition, in was created a list with the type of positions that are not accepted for this program:

-Au pair/ babysitter
-Professor/teacher/coach
-Any kind of job in the medical field (including veterinary)
-Any job in the adult industry area
-Any job that includes a payment exclusively based on commission or door-to-door sale
-Any job that includes working on a cruise ship

TIP: pay attention when you complete your English resume and mention any extracurricular activity, internship or volunteering activity. Also, the American employers appreciate a good letter of intent, in which you can say why you want to take part in this program and why you chose them for this experience.

How can I obtain a job with your help?

The Placement option puts at your disposal a series of job offers and recruiting events from which you can choose what's best for you, depending on your criteria: location, salary, overtime, accommodation, etc... Think of what you would like for your 4 months of summer and help us make you the best offer!

TIP 1: register as soon as possible in the program! This way, you have priority in choosing your offer!

TIP 2: read very carefully all the details of the job offer before you sign the contract! Once you have accepted it, you will not be able to change your mind or search for another offer.
