Hello! My name is Camelia and I’m from Brasov!

The American Dream

A few years ago I was a student just like you, looking for new and interesting things to do other than going to school and being a promoter in my spare time. One day, my boyfriend comes, very thrilled, to tell me about the incredible summer that two of his colleagues had in the USA and to propose me to go ourselves the following summer!

I must admit that he didn’t have to put a lot of effort in convincing me! And so began the coolest experience of my life! I came back with enough enthusiasm to last 100 years, with friends that I still have today and with a declared passion for the US! J

Program coordinator

Right after I returned, I received a job offer as a Work and Travel coordinator in Bucharest! Faith! I’ve worked there for 6 years during which I learned a lot and I helped many students (good friends of mine now) to get to live their own American story!

But, over time, I’ve started to see the program in a different perspective and I felt that I can offer the students a different experience, much more personalized, so that each person would have exactly the moments they were dreaming about.

The Challenge

That being said, I braced up and opened American Challenge! Why “challenge”? Because Work and Travel is a challenge! For you, is the challenge to get out of your comfort zone and do something that will help you grow as a person. For us, it’s the challenge to offer you, day after day, valuable information and advice, to become better for you!

Meanwhile, we have grown and I have an amazing team! It is formed only from people that share my values: enthusiasm, honesty, dedication, flexibility. Our desire is to be your friends, to get to know you better, so that we can offer you exactly what you want. With us, you will always get support, cheerfulness and many smiles!

Today, I am glad that I’ve made this decision! The students’ interest for what I have to offer and their trust that, together, we can create the experience they want, motivates me even more to go further and offer better and more personalized services!
